Transcripts are usually ready within 2-10 minutes. However, it may vary depending on the duration and size of your file. When your transcripts are ready, you will receive an update on your email.

We do everything possible to maintain the highest security and confidentiality standards. Your uploaded files are deleted once transcription is complete and generated transcripts are stored on our servers for download purpose and are accessible only to you. We use TLS 1.2 data encryption and secure servers protect your data.

The most common reasons for transcription failure are:

• Unsupported file type
• Translitt was unable to detect or identify any spoken words in your file

In case of a failure, Translitt will automatically try generating your transcripts again after sometime. If it fails even then, a refund will be initiated automatically within 24 hours if you have made a payment. Also, you should see a Retry option when you open your transcript request details in your account section. You can click on that to retry.

Refunds are issued when your transcription request fails. In such a case, Translitt will try generating your transcripts again in sometime. A refund will be initiated automatically within 24 hours if your transcripts are not generated even after multiple retries. Also, you should see a Retry option when you open your transcript request details in your account section.

Please note that no refunds will be issued except for a failure scenario i.e. when no transcripts have been generated. If transcripts have been generated, no refunds will be issued.

The duration of uploaded files is rounded off upwards in minutes. For example, a 3 minute 5 seconds long file will be rounded off to 4 minutes.

The quality of transcriptions depends upon the quality and clarity of audio in your uploaded media file. There are many reasons that can lead to an inaccruate or partial transcriptions. Some of them are:

• Incorrect original language was selected while uploading the file. For example, your file was originally in Hindi, but Hebrew was selected as original language mistakenly.
• The uploaded media file had a loud background noise or music.
• Speakers in the uplaoded media file had strong accents.
• The speech in the uploaded media wasn't clear.
• The uploaded media file was corrupted in parts.
